Fall Update from the Vice President of UVCI

Fall Update from the Vice President of UVCI

Mexico is one of the favorite travel destinations for Americans - and also one of the few that is currently open for tourism. As fall approaches, in addition to pumpkin-flavored everything, it is the time of year when the weather changes, the leaves fall from the trees, and jackets are put back on. For our members who are dreaming of warm sunny beaches, Mexico awaits your arrival!

Vuelos

Many airlines have recently announced that they will be offering expanded flight schedules to our various destinations. Southwest Airlines announced additional service routes offering more non-stop services to Puerto Vallarta, San Jose del Cabo, and Cancun. United Airlines offers several non-stop flights depending on what airport you are departing from. Volaris has added more routes and will fly over 140 routes between the United States and Mexico. Flights depart from major US cities including: Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Seattle, among others.

Our members have been sharing with us very positive feedback about their recent stays at our resorts along with amazing videos and photos. We say, thank you for sharing! During this very challenging time, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our guests, members, and staff. Protocols continue to be followed and expanded based on the most up-to-date best practices suggested by numerous organizations. We know that some members are still wary of traveling given the current situation, but hearing first-hand experiences from our members who have recently had a wonderful time at our resorts and reported feeling safe, has certainly allowed many other members to feel more confident about getting back to their home away from home. As many of our members know, tourism is critical to Mexico’s economy. The industry has responded with transparent and thorough safety and social distancing protocols throughout airports, Customs & Immigration, and ground transport as well as at hotels and resorts, restaurants, and other entertainment excursions and venues. We have heard from many of our members, saying, “We feel safer in Mexico than we do at home!” You can view a list of our safety protocols by clicking here

Sanitization Protocol 13

Although your upcoming vacation experience may look and feel a little different, the hospitality is warmer now than ever. This stems from the deep appreciation that staff and locals feel towards travelers whose love for Mexico outweighs any hesitation to take a much-needed vacation in the sun. You will have to forgo a hug from your favorite resort team members this time, but you will see and feel the smiles in their hearts as they welcome you back home.

So, put away the pumpkins, pack your bags and let us pamper you in paradise!

We can’t wait to see you again…

Sincerely,

Nicholas Larez
