A Heartfelt Thank You: Recapping the 2026 TAFER Residence Club Annual Member Meeting

Some gatherings are simply meant to be remembered. The 2026 TAFER Residence Club Annual Member Meeting, held at the breathtaking Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, was exactly that. From the moment members arrived to the final notes of music echoing over the Pacific, the weekend was a celebration of community, connection, and the extraordinary life your membership makes possible.

On behalf of everyone at TAFER Residence Club, thank you. Thank you for making the journey, for sharing your time, and for being the heart of everything we do.

Welcome to Paradise

The energy began building on Tuesday, May 19, as members checked in and settled into the natural splendor that TAFER Resorts offers. Lush tropical landscapes, ocean breezes, and the warm hospitality our team is known for set the perfect tone for the days ahead.

Wednesday brought a full afternoon of programming designed with you in mind. Members learned about CHUBB Travel Protection, ensuring peace of mind on every journey ahead. The Membership 101 session allowed both longtime and newer members to deepen their understanding of the club, ask questions, and explore the full value of their membership. As the golden Vallarta sun began its descent, the evening’s Cocktail Party brought members together in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere, filled with laughter, new connections, and warm reunions.

The Heart of the Meeting

Thursday morning arrived with a continental breakfast and a palpable sense of anticipation. The formal Member Meeting brought the community together in one room, a space full of pride, purpose, and possibility.

Nicholas Larez, Vice President of TAFER Club Management, opened the meeting by welcoming members and expressing genuine gratitude for the time and commitment each person made to be there. He set a warm, inclusive tone before turning to a meaningful moment of recognition: honoring Robert “Bob” Kistner, the immediate Past Board President, who retired after an extraordinary 42 years of dedicated service to the club. Bob’s contributions over those decades have shaped the TAFER Residence Club that members know and love today, and the room was rightfully filled with appreciation for everything he has given.

Nicholas then proudly welcomed Tania Gonzalez, the club’s new Board President. Her remarks set the tone for everything that followed, reflecting not just the exciting trajectory of the club but a genuine, personal commitment to elevating the lives and experiences of every member across all TAFER destinations. It was a reminder of why this club is different, because the people leading it truly care.

Club Treasurer Dennis Morrissey provided a club financial recap, along with exciting progress updates from ResortCom International, the club’s servicing company, giving members full transparency and confidence in where the club stands and where it’s headed.

Rounding out the formal presentations, TAFER COO Sasa Milojevic and Regional Director Juan Carlos Gonzalez delivered a compelling operations update. From celebrated awards and property enhancements to exciting new developments coming to TAFER resorts, their presentation painted a vivid picture of a brand that is growing, investing, and continuously raising the bar for every TAFER Residence Club member.

The Roundtable sessions that followed gave members a direct voice in shaping what comes next. These candid, productive conversations are a cornerstone of who we are. Your feedback matters, and it drives the decisions we make.

The MAC and Board meetings held throughout the event were equally productive, with collaborative dialogue that outlined meaningful opportunities to enhance the membership experience across all TAFER resorts.

If there was a moment that captured the true spirit of the TAFER Residence Club community, it was the Eagle’s Wings Foundation Fundraiser Presentation, Grant Ceremony, and Luncheon on Thursday afternoon.

Foundation President Eva Contreras Gonzalez and Executive Board Member Cynthia Lasher welcomed members with warmth and gratitude before introducing something that no presentation slide could ever replicate: the voices of students whose lives have been transformed by the foundation. One student, having just completed law school, stood as living proof of what is possible when a community chooses to invest in the next generation.Because of you, our members, these stories exist.

The evening carried that same spirit into a spectacular closing dinner. Beneath the breathtaking Vallarta sunset, with the Pacific stretching endlessly before you, members gathered for a night of wonderful cuisine, live music, dancing, and the Eagle’s Wings Raffle, where generous donors were celebrated with wonderful prizes. It was the kind of evening that stays with you long after you return home.

One Last Adventure

Friday morning offered one final shared experience: the Eagle’s Wings Bus Tour, departing from the lobby for members who wanted to see firsthand the communities and lives touched by the foundation. It was a meaningful, grounding close to an extraordinary few days together.

Until We Meet Again

Tafer meeting

This year’s Annual Member Meeting reminded us all of something important. TAFER Residence Club is more than a vacation ownership program. It is a community of people who share a passion for extraordinary travel, a commitment to giving back, and a deep appreciation for the finer moments in life.

We are already looking forward to welcoming you again next year. Details on the 2027 Annual Member Meeting will be coming soon, and we promise it will be worth the wait.

Until then, keep exploring, keep savoring, and know that everything we do, every day, is done with you in mind.

With warmth and gratitude,
