New Hotel Mousai South Tower Coming Soon!
The countdown to the opening of Hotel Mousai’s new South Tower, located within the Garza Blanca Preserve complex in Puerto Vallarta, has begun. The highly-anticipated opening has been anxiously awaited by many given that the new tower will double the number of keys at the luxury adults-only Hotel Mousai from 73 to 145. The Grand Opening is slated for December, 2021, so we are less than 3 months away from welcoming the first guests through the doors.
The new tower is only a few meters from the original Hotel Mousai North Tower and will broaden Hotel Mousai’s offering so that even more guests can enjoy the exceptional facilities and with the addition of amenities and services that will enhance the overall guest experience, as TAFER Hotels and Resorts continues its mission to be Mexico’s leading luxury hotel group.
Over the next five years, TAFER will continue with its expansion plans with new projects under construction on a 1,927-acre development on Puerto Vallarta’s south shore. The new projects include Lemuria Residences, La Garzetta, and Echoes. There are additional plans to open Hotel Mousai in the Riviera Maya and Cancun, Lemuria Residences in Cancun, Garza Blanca Resort in the Riviera Maya, and Villa La Valencia in Los Cabos.

Those looking to soak up spectacular views of the lush jungle and the endless blue horizon will soon be able to enjoy a stay at Mousai’s new South Tower with an eye-catching exterior that towers over the Sierra Madre mountains and an interior fitting for Great Gatsby's affluent characters. The design concept of the new tower follows the same concept of Hotel Mousai, but with fresh items. The idea is an eclectic concept mixed with the sensuality of the natural muses.
The Motor Lobby
As soon as you arrive, you are welcomed by the impressive circular motor lobby, where you will have the first glimpse of the rest of the experience waiting for you in this magnificent adults-only space. The bell boys will greet you at the motor lobby and arrange for your luggage to be taken to your suite. The Motor Lobby also features an 8-meter-high glass viewpoint overlooking the lush green jungle.
The Lobby
The open concept of Mousai’s South Tower lobby with its double-height ceiling, high contrast black and white geometric tiles, giant chess pieces, modern sofas with contrasting pillows, and white pillars with golden accents in the shape of a diamond all reflect Mousai’s elegance. It’s the place where you will be met with personalized attention when your vacation begins, when it ends, and all throughout your stay.
The 360° Lounge Bar is next to the lobby, and it is a place where guests can enjoy a beverage in the soothing and relaxing atmosphere while listening to live instrumental music.
The Suites
The ultra-stylish Mousai South suites are an eclectic mix of natural tones with bright accents and richly textured walls. They are similar in size to the original Mousai suites and guests can choose from the Mousai Suite, Mousai Corner Suite, Ultra Mousai Suite, Ultra Mousai Corner Suite, and the Penthouse.
The Mousai Suite is the smallest suite with 1,061 square feet including the terrace. The Mousai Corner Suite is slightly larger with 1,300 square feet including its expansive wraparound terrace. The Ultra Mousai Suites and Ultra Mousai Corner Suites, have the same layout as the Mousai Suites and Mousai Corner Suites, but they are on the highest floors and come with exclusive privileges such as a dedicated butler, a pillow and aromatherapy menu, free access to the hydrotherapy circuit at the spa, extra luxury toiletries, and the best views guaranteed.
The 4 Penthouse Suites measure 1,537 square feet and include a large living room and private bar. The living room has a central round black and white carpet with geometric shapes and with the delicate design of the bright red curved sofa, it perfectly matches with the subtle design of the modern chairs. Velvet fabric features throughout since it’s soft to the touch and elegant. The master bedroom features an oversized en suite bathroom with a steam shower and access to a spacious private terrace with a hydromassage tub and hammock.
One of the characteristics that makes the new Mousai hotel different are its connecting rooms. The one-bedroom suites and the Penthouse can connect with another suite, and the Penthouse with a connecting room can now accommodate 5 guests whereas in the Mousai North tower, it can only accommodate 2 guests.
The design of the Mousai suites eclectically mix bright and neutral colors with purple, the iconic Hotel Mousai color. The suites feature items that invite guests into a sensual dream such as the brilliant red chair in the sculpted form of a naked model and the purple tantra divan, the items hint at seduction, and they are specifically installed for the purpose of bringing joy and pleasure, not just to be useful or cozy, but to be daring, to provoke and evoke emotions, and they are not ashamed.
The iconic Mousai colors of purple and red play against the elegant gold and stainless-steel touches inviting guests into a sensual experience. The wall art depicts a deconstructed butterfly to reveal the basis of nature where everything transforms. The mirror is a special mirror treated with acid and the color purple, and is another part of the sensual scene we want to create for our guests.
Mousai’s dominant décor is all about abstractions, the use of colors, the simulation of curves and geometric shapes that all go back to the muses, Mousai’s core concept, in a mystical way.
Every suite has black onyx twin vanities with indirect light, the transparency of the onyx gives subtle light between the textures of the natural stone, serving as a big lamp.
The defining glory of all Mousai’s suites are spacious terraces with a jetted hydromassage tub and hammock overlooking the breathtaking Banderas Bay. The suites also feature a sitting area, flat-screen TV, workspace, en suite bathroom with a rain shower, automated bidet toilet, blackout curtains, Tafer´s signature mattresses and linens, and an iPad operated ambience system that powers the electric curtains.

Restaurants
In keeping with Mousai’s gourmet restaurant theme, the new tower offers 3 additional haute cuisine restaurants that offer experiential tastes and flavor profiles.
NOI
Guests can delight in traditional Italian dishes at Noi restaurant, adjacent to the lobby. The 140-seat Italian restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is exclusively for Mousai guests, and is available daily from 7:00 am to midday.
For dinner, guests can expect exquisite Italian fare including fresh pastas and pizzas and a culinary experience of the highest level. Dinner will be available for both Mousai and Garza Blanca guests between 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm, and guests will be able to see the chefs at work in the fabulous open show kitchen.
Art forms a part of the whole delicious experience at NOI. The art of the chefs´ techniques and the restaurant design itself. DAO
DAO restaurant is the transition point between the two Mousai towers, connected by a large bridge of more than 60 meters. DAO is a new gourmet Chinese cuisine concept, with a modern design featuring curved and continuous lines that distinguish this building from all the others. The design maintains a contemporary oriental interior concept, with the predominant color scheme in red, white, and black accentuated by marble, tapestry, ceramics, and red woods. Something that does not go unnoticed is its double-height interior with Mondrian style glass walls through which diners can observe stunning views of the surrounding tropical jungle, maintaining the connection between the interior and exterior.

Each dish reflects the excitement of discovery, where traditional components are given modern twists with the end result of extraordinary cuisine with fragrant aromas that encapsulates Chinese elements.
The Rooftop
The Rooftop bar and lounge will be one of the favorite spaces of the new tower with its privileged viewpoint overlooking the spectacular surroundings offering views of both the ocean and the jungle. In addition to hosting regular sunset cocktail parties, the new Rooftop has an infinity pool with a sun shelf with in-pool loungers as well as two iconic swings, perfect for taking Instragrammable selfies.
The ambiance at this chic beach club oozes elegance. The floor is two tone granite in soft colors. Other materials used are marble, granite, ceramics, and glass. The design of the impressive metal roof over the bar simulates origami. The lounge chairs and umbrellas around the perimeter of the pool are all in white. In addition, there are outdoor sofa sets to create a cozy ambience. The Rooftop dining area has a capacity of 50.
The size of the infinity pool is 46-meters-long, the same size as the infinity pool at the North Tower, and it is the ultimate haven for relaxation where you can revel in the mesmerizing views while enjoying the sunshine’s warmth.
The GYM
The new tower will have its own gym featuring the latest in fitness technology and knockout views with treadmills that face the breathtaking jungle landscape.
