Christmas and New Year’s Festivities

As we step into the end of the year, TAFER Hotels & Resorts and the Villa Group resorts are more than ready to be part of the most important celebration for the families that we will have the pleasure of hosting over the holiday season. As part of our Christmas traditions, each of our resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, and Cancun will deck themselves out in preparation of holiday travelers and are planning to create some winter magic for our valued guests and members with festive events that capture the holiday spirit and are guaranteed to bring joyful holiday cheer to guests of all ages.

We want to take a moment to wish all our members a happy holiday season and thank you for being a part of our membership family.

To ensure this holiday season is a joyous one, for members planning a luxury escape to Mexico this winter, here is a list of what the resorts have planned:

Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta

Holiday Highlights include:

· Christmas Trees: For members staying in the Penthouses, a decorated Christmas tree will be set up in the suite at no extra cost starting in mid-December. For members staying in the other suite categories, if you would like to rent a fully decorated Christmas Tree to put in your suite, you can request one for an additional cost of $200 USD.

· Special Dinner: Taste the very best with a special 4-course menu at Blanca Blue Restaurant and Bocados Steak House on December 24th & 25th from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. A traditional turkey menu option will be available only at Blanca Blue. The Bocados Steak House special menu will feature King Crab Salad, New York Steak, Risotto, and Yule Log Cake for dessert. Our in-house musicians will play live music at both restaurants. Reservations are required.

· Christmas Brunch: Enjoy a holiday-inspired brunch at Blanca Blue on Christmas Day from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with live music and a mimosa station.

· Visit from Santa Claus: Santa Claus is expected to be in the main lobby at 12:00 pm on Christmas Day. There will be Christmas carolers and Santa will be handing out candy for the children. They will have the opportunity to take a photo with him. There will also be fruit punch and sweets available.

· New Year´s Eve Party: Join us to celebrate the last day of the year with our Circus Night themed party, which includes a 4-course dinner, premium open bar, live music, and a live show from 8:00 pm to 12:30 am. Reservations are required.

· New Year´s Brunch: The perfect start to New Year’s Day 2022 begins with an abundant feast with traditional brunch favorites at Blanca Blue restaurant from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm featuring live music and a mimosa station.

Hotel Mousai

Holiday Highlights include:

· New Year´s Eve Party: Hotel Mousai is throwing a glamorous New Year’s bash at the Rooftop with the theme Mystic Muse. Hiroshi restaurant will be catering the dinner at the Rooftop and there will be a sushi bar with niguris and cocktails with sake.

The event will include Mystic sea décor, a light show, entertainment, and a live DJ. When the clock strikes midnight, you will be able to witness an incredible fireworks display all across Banderas Bay. And from the Rooftop, you’ll have the best vantage point and will feel like you have stepped into a technicolor dream.

Garza Blanca Los Cabos

Holiday Highlights include:

· Tree Lighting Ceremony – At Garza Blanca Los Cabos the Christmas festivities begin on Wednesday, December 15th with our Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the Lobby Bar from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This complimentary event will include live entertainment, cocktails, and canapés for our guests.

· Christmas Eve: On Christmas Eve, Blanca Blue, Bocados Steak House, and the Rooftop will all offer their regular menus with the addition of a three-course special menu. Hiroshi and the Food Truck will also be open with their regular menu.

· Santa Claus: No Christmas celebration would be complete without Santa Claus and his little elves told us that he will be making a special appearance on Christmas Day. Santa will be arriving at 12:00 pm and there will be a chance for the kids to take photos with Santa and his sleigh. He will be giving out candy for the kids.

· Christmas Dinner: The Food Truck will be hosting a Christmas buffet dinner next to the beach, which includes a turkey feast with a carving station and all the trimmings. Guests also have the option to dine at Bocados Steak House, which will be offering a four-course set menu with two different options per course, plus live entertainment. Blanca Blue, Hiroshi, and the Rooftop will be open and serving their regular menu.

· New Year´s Eve Party: On New Year’s Eve, join us for a party on the beach. We will have a new year inspired buffet dinner on the Food Truck deck. The buffet will feature a salad bar, soups, a bread station, a raw bar with ceviches, oysters, and clams. Entrées include rib eye steak, New York steak, chicken, fish, paella, and pasta accompanied by your choice of side dishes. Don’t forget to save room for dessert as we will have an Ice Cream and Dessert Bar filled with delicious temptations including Red Velvet Cake, New York Cheese Cake, Profiteroles, and Apple Strudel. The event will include live music from the Rock Band Voilá Music from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am, a DJ, and bonfire on the beach. Guests can enjoy the night dancing barefoot and feeling the sand on their feet. At midnight, there will be a spectacular fireworks display to welcome in the new year. Blanca Blue and Bocados Steak House will be closed for dinner. Hiroshi and the Rooftop will be open and will offer their regular menu as well as a special set menu.

Villa del Palmar Cancun

Holiday Highlights include:

· Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: The celebration starts with our annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 14th at 7:30 pm on the Lobby Terrace. The event will feature a Candyland with sweet treats and eggnog followed by a Magic Show.

· Christmas Eve: Caprichos restaurant will be serving a Mexican-style Christmas Eve dinner with specialty Mexican and international dishes from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Enjoy starters, mains, a selection of side dishes, and dessert, all designed to impress. From 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Zak Bar, there will be a live band playing Christmas classics followed by our show, A Christmas Night.

· Santa Claus: A surprise visit from Santa Claus is forecast on Christmas Day. He is expected to arrive at the main pool at 12:00 pm to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. There will be a photo opportunity and some special treats.

· Christmas Dinner: Caprichos restaurant will be serving an American-style Christmas dinner buffet with a bounty of holiday favorites and will feature a carving station, turkey and all the trimmings alongside specialty Mexican dishes from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Join us at Zak Bar at 9:00 pm for our Christmas Circus show.

· Festive NYE Party: Ring in the New Year with a fun, family-friendly beach party. The evening starts at Caprichos restaurant with a premium buffet dinner with the theme Sea and Land with a selection of international dishes and desserts, which will offer something for the whole family to enjoy. After dinner, members can welcome 2022 with a legendary NYE experience on the beach with a live band, dancing, NYE countdown, and stunning fireworks display.

Garza Blanca Cancun

Holiday Highlights include:

Christmas Eve: Blanca Blue restaurant will provide the ideal setting for a traditional buffet-style Christmas dinner to enjoy with the most special people at Christmas. The Chef Patron and the food and beverage team will create a memorable feast to commemorate the special event. Each dish will combine delicious flavors, fresh ingredients, and cutting-edge techniques to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Dinner is available between 6:00 pm and 10:30 pm.

Christmas Brunch: On Christmas morning, to encourage family togetherness, Blanca Blue will be serving a Christmas brunch from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. And from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, our Food Truck will be open with a Raw bar for the whole family and a recovery station for the adults of the house with Bloody Marys and a selection of cocktails.

Christmas Dinner: For families who would like to have a second Christmas dinner, you are invited to head over to Caprichos restaurant at Garza Blanca’s neighboring sister resort, Villa del Palmar Cancun, on the evening of December 25th to enjoy an American-style Christmas buffet dinner from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

New Year’s Eve: New Year’s Eve will be a shared celebration with Garza Blanca’s sister resort, Villa del Palmar Cancun featuring a premium buffet dinner at Caprichos followed by a beach party with live music, dancing, and fireworks.
